P0300

What it means

Your engine's computer has detected that one or more cylinders are not firing correctly, but it can't pinpoint a specific cylinder, or multiple cylinders are misfiring randomly.

Is it safe to drive?

A flashing Check Engine Light indicates severe misfires that can quickly damage the catalytic converter due to unburnt fuel entering the exhaust. Driving with a P0300 can also lead to significant engine damage and should be avoided until diagnosed and repaired.

Most likely causes

• Vacuum Leaks

  Leaks in vacuum lines, intake manifold gaskets, or PCV system can cause unmetered air to enter, leading to a lean condition and misfires across multiple cylinders.

• Faulty Spark Plugs, Ignition Coils, or Wires
